With its unique, fully accredited folk museum, its gift shop, restaurant, archive and conference facilities, its nature trail and children's play area, the Glenesk Retreat offers every element of what is special about Glenesk. People of all ages come from near and from far to enjoy an inspiring visit and a warm welcome.
Our food is homemade, substantial and traditional. You can eat inside or outside or buy takeaways.
We have a large community room available for hire for celebrations and occasions – catering to suit.
There is a furnished business room available for hire for business activities
Conference facilties and the community room are available for hire over the winter.
Our museum, established by Greta Michie, local schoolteacher, in 1955, includes musical instruments, stuffed
birds, a box bed in the bothy room which came from Turnabrayne Farm, Alexander Ross’ desk – a local poet
admired by Robert Burns, and reconstruction rooms.
